Research Approaches
Digital Mental Health
I My academic research in digital mental health began in the labs of Drs. Conor Liston and Faith Gunning at Weill Cornell Medicine, where I studied outcomes of a standalone Cognitive Behavioral Therapy App targeting Depression and Anxiety -- you can check out the app here!
Clinical Neuroscience
I was a graduate student in the Psychology & Neuroscience program at Duke University, working with Drs. Ahmad Hariri, Tim Strauman, and Terrie Moffitt. More info about these projects can be found here: Laboratory of Neurogenetics and Moffitt and Caspi Lab.
Clinical Psychology
I worked at Massachusetts General Hospital's Benson-Henry Institute, studying the relaxation response. My primary projects looked at the effects of mind body techniques on various chronic medical conditions. I also worked on studies targeting prevention.
Cognitive Neuroscience
I conducted my honors thesis in Dr. David Badre's Lab looking at relationships between working memory and long term memory in human subjects. I additionally helped with fMRI studies of memory retrieval.
Meditation Research
I worked in Dr. Willoughby Britton's lab and used questionnaires to study the psychological effects of teaching meditation to middle school students.
Neurophysics
I started my research career working in Dr. Mayank Mehta's lab, using electrodes to record from place cells in the brains of rats as they navigated through mazes.
